Loading... Please wait...I first got into parchment craft through seeing a demonstration on a TV craft show about 4 years ago. I had been into paper crafting for a few years and enjoyed making cards but had moved into scrapbooking which, at the time, occupied most of my crafting time as I have two beautiful little boys who just love posing for pictures! On seeing the demonstration I was astounded at the beautiful lace effects and simply gorgeous effect of the embossing that could be achieved. As soon as I saw it I was hooked and it all started from there.
Over the last four years the amount of other paper crafting I have done has decreased until now, parchment crafting has taken over all of my spare time (of which there is never enough!). I’ve always been quite creative and in the last year I have experimented with making projects using my own designs, which I have found as exciting and enjoyable as the parchment craft itself. I have got together some of my designs and made them into patterns with full instructions for completing each project. I decided to make the patterns downloadable as I know from experience having ordered patterns I can’t wait to get them in the post and get started on them. I have lots of ideas for projects that I want to try out, including projects other than card making such as scrapbook pages, and will be adding new patterns to the site regularly.
The site will be growing and once I have managed to get a few more patterns uploaded, I will be working on adding a page with hints and tips for beginners so if you’re a beginner who needs some help with techniques please do check back for this.
I am always happy to hear feedback so if you have any comments about my patterns and how they may be improved please do let me know by emailing me at gilly@parchmentpatterns.com. I am very interested to hear how easy or difficult you find the patterns as I am aiming to have patterns on the site for all skill levels.
Also, I would love to hear from you if you want to send me any pictures of completed projects and if I get enough, it would be great to set up a gallery.
I hope you enjoy the patterns as much as I have enjoyed creating them.
All the best and happy crafting,
Gilly
